We believe in being upfront about exactly what Prestige Solutions is and is not. This page exists so there is never any doubt.
We are a private consultancy, not a government body
Prestige Solutions is an independent, privately owned documentation and visa consultancy. We are not a government entity and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), the South African Police Service (SAPS), or any embassy, consulate or foreign authority.
We do not issue visas, clearances or apostilles
Visas are issued by the destination country’s authorities. Police clearance certificates are issued by the SAPS Criminal Record Centre. Apostilles and legalisation certificates are issued by DIRCO and, where applicable, by embassies. Those bodies set their own fees, requirements, processing times and decisions, and no consultancy can change or guarantee them.
What we actually do
- Advise you on which route, documents and evidence your specific case requires.
- Prepare and check your application so it is complete and consistent before it goes in.
- Submit applications and documents to the relevant departments and authorities through established channels, and track them to completion.
- Coordinate related steps such as fingerprints, certified translations, courier delivery and travel health appointments through accredited providers.
In short: the authorities issue the documents; we make sure what reaches them is right, and we manage the process so you do not have to.
You can always apply directly
Every service we assist with can also be done directly with the relevant authority, usually at the official fee only. Official information is available from the Department of Home Affairs, the South African Police Service and DIRCO. Our value is knowledge of the process, prevention of avoidable errors and rejections, and your time back.
